The Golden Sound of ’Little Room’.
You may or may not realise it, but the music industry can be a pretty fickle business. And this is exactly why so many bands will never get that lucky break… even when they are bursting at the seams with bona fide talent. Hence it’s a sad fact of life that if you aren’t playing the sort of music people want to hear, then you are destined to spend the rest of your days appearing in second-rate pubs and clubs. However, if you have got the sound that everyone wants, you are most definitely onto a winner. And that is where Little Room come into the picture…
This London-based outfit tick all of the right boxes in today’s scene. Their songs are dark, edgy and undeniably modern; exactly what people want from their music. Sure, there may be other new bands who promise these things, but very few can deliver on quite the same par as Little Room. Simon Howlett’s powerful lead vocals and Lee Verralls'super-proficient drums ensure that each new track by this band is just as good as the last (and often better).

Little Room’s songs are inspired by some of the greatest acts of all; Radiohead, Joy Division, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, The Horrors, Interpol, White Lies, The Smiths, Sigur Rós, Cure, Warpaint… Therefore, it doesn’t take a genius to realise that Little Room are right on track with their music! Theirs is a sound which is very much in keeping with the times whilst their lyrics are thought-provoking and real. And Little Room also happen to be very well-known for putting on some cracking live performances. But if you have ever been lucky enough to have seen one of their London shows, you will already be aware of this…
It is not a case of if Little Room make the big time, it is when. Put it this way; if this band were taking part in The Grand National, then they certainly wouldn’t need to take out horse insurance. Their music is exactly what we need right now and it is the perfect balance against today’s rather vacuous and manufactured Pop scene.
